Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This year more than ever, mental health is one of our primary concerns. According to the Canadian Institute of Health Research, a 2019 study found that 47% of Canadian parents report having a child who is a victim of bullying.

The CDSBEO recognizes November 15th-21st as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, with many learning activities and resources planned for our students. On November 20th our Board will participate in Odd Socks Day, where everyone is invited to wear odd socks to school. This is a fun opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! The day sends an important message to everyone that they should be allowed to be themselves free from bullying and helps us recognize Anti-Bullying Week in a fun and positive way.

Yours in Catholic Education,
